- Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into estate planning law?
I’m a product of Chicago’s West Side and South Side, so often I feel like a bridge between the 2 different Black communities existing in Chicago. Because of my father and uncle, I learned at a young age that the world was much bigger than Chicago and because of my mother and grandmothers, I learned that Black women could lead families and businesses with as much skill, acumen, and wisdom – if not more – than other cultures.
